Several of our titles are published in both English and Hindi, and you choose which one you want before adding the book to your cart.
It is an easy step to scroll past. We receive a steady stream of messages after checkout asking to switch the language, and once a parcel has been packed and handed to the courier, changing it is no longer simple.
This page is here so you can get it right the first time.
Where the choice is
On every dual-language product page there is a dropdown labelled Language version, sitting just above the Add to Cart button. It offers two options:
- HIN- Hindi
- ENG- English
One of them is already selected when the page loads. That pre-selected option is not always the one you want, and it is not the same on every product. Please look at it before you add to cart rather than assuming.
Which titles come in both languages

In each case the Hindi edition is a complete translation, not a shortened version. Same chapters, same content.
Which titles are English only
The scripture translation series is currently available in English alone:
- The Ancient Science of Vāstu I — The Vishwakarma Prakash Retold
- Volume II — The Manushyalaya Chandrika Retold
- Volume III — The Rajvallabh Retold
- Volumes IV A, IV B and IV C — The Samrangan Sutradhar Retold
- Vedic Vastu — Architectural Principles for Modern Living
Note that these books carry the original Sanskrit verses alongside the English, so a reader comfortable with Devanagari will still find the source text in front of them.
The multi-book Vastu Combos are also English sets. Where a combo is English, the product title says so.
The prices are not always the same
This catches people out, so it is worth stating plainly.
- Vāstu Remedies — Hindi ₹748, English ₹985
- Peetham (book only) — Hindi ₹550, English ₹590
- SHIV — same price in both
- Peetham (book + game) — same price in both
- 3-book set — same price in both
Where the prices differ, switching language after payment means a refund or an additional payment, which is part of why these changes take time to process.
How to check before you pay
Three places show you what you have chosen:
- The dropdown itself, before you add to cart.
- Your cart, where the selected version appears beneath the book's name.
- Your order confirmation email, where the item code ends in -HIN or -ENG.
That last one is the quickest check. If your confirmation shows VVL-BOK-028-ENG, you have ordered the English Vāstu Remedies. If it ends -HIN, it is the Hindi.
Which one should you choose?
A few things worth weighing.
Read in the language you think in. Not the one you believe you ought to read in. These books carry technical vocabulary — padas, aayadi calculations, marma points — and comprehension matters more here than aspiration.
If you consult or teach, consider the language you use with clients. A consultant explaining a Vastu dosh in Hindi will find the Hindi terminology sitting ready to hand.
Sanskrit terms stay Sanskrit in both editions. Brahmasthan is Brahmasthan in either book. The difference is the explanation around it.
Buying as a gift? Choose for the reader, not for yourself — this is the single most common reason for a change request.
If you have already ordered the wrong one
Contact us as soon as you notice, and before the parcel is dispatched. The sooner the message reaches us, the more likely we can catch it at the packing stage.

Once a parcel has left with the courier, a change becomes a return, which takes longer and is subject to our usual return terms. A thirty-second check at checkout saves everyone that.
Will the scripture series come in Hindi?
It is asked often. The Ancient Science of Vāstu volumes are substantial works — Volume I alone runs to more than 1,400 verses — and a translation of that scale takes time to do properly.
